BTM (Bridge Teamwork) TRAINING COURSE

This course based on IMO Model Course 1.22 and is for bridge watch keeping officers,
Chief officers and Masters.

This course run is part by lectures and part by practising on simulators.

Duration of this course is 5 days (commencing each Monday)

Course attendants are taught with this program:
• Familiarization with the bridge, review of basic watchkeeping principles
• Standard manoeuvres
• Shallow water effects
• Bank, channel  and interaction effects
• Anchoring and single-buoy mooring
• Wind and current effects
• Management on the bridge
• Human factor in error, workload and stress
• Desicion making and leadership,Crisis management
• Planning and carrying out a voyage in normal and emergency situations.
